The Kärråkra Health Center is a modern and well-functioning health care unit with approximately 9,300 registered patients. About 50 employees work here in bright and spacious premises, and we offer a wide range of services including medical and district nurse consultations, child health care, physiotherapy, psychology consultations, asthma/COPD clinic, diabetes clinic, and certified elderly care.

The health center also includes a general pediatric specialist clinic, which provides unique opportunities to develop your skills regarding children and youth.

The unit is characterized by stability, good structure, and high medical professionalism. There are 11 doctors working here, of which 9 are specialists in family medicine, creating a safe and learning environment for you as a resident physician. All important professions are gathered here, and we actively conduct organizational development in interdisciplinary teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resident physician, you will have an exciting and challenging job with good conditions for a broad education within the specialty. Your training will be tailored in consultation with your supervisor to make it as optimal and interesting as possible. You will work with common tasks such as scheduled and urgent medical visits, act as a consulting physician for nurses, supervise students, and participate in rounds for assessment and triage.

As a resident physician with us, you will receive a broad and well-planned education in family medicine. You will be supported by experienced specialists, receive high-quality supervision, and have the opportunity to develop across the entire breadth of primary care, including work with our specialist clinics and the general pediatric operations. Together, we create a safe and learning environment where you can grow into the role of future specialist.

A permanent position as a resident physician may be preceded by a temporary position as a junior physician for a period of three to six months in accordance with regional guidelines for filling resident physician positions within primary care.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. To be eligible for a resident position in family medicine, you must have completed basic clinical training (BT), or previously completed general clinical training (AT) according to older regulations. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is required. Experience from primary care is an advantage, and we are looking for someone who wants to develop long-term within family medicine.
